Steven Poage, D.V.M.

Dr. Steven Poage is a 1974 graduate of the University of Arizona with a degree in Animal Health Science, and a 1978 graduate of the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. His first position was as staff veterinarian at Montclair Pet Hospital in Montclair, California, eventually becoming senior veterinarian in 1980. He moved to Tucson in early 1980 and leased a practice for nearly a year before beginning Canada del Oro Pet Clinic on Ina Road in March of 1981.

Dr. Poage and his wife Eva have been married since January of 1973. They enjoy spending time with their family which includes four children and three grandchildren. Their daughter Stephanie and her husband Nick live in the San Francisco Bay area with their son Luka, greyhound Paysley and cats Romeo and Tyson. Their daughter Rebecca and her husband Justin reside in Tucson with their daughter Ume. Their daughter Elizabeth and her husband Johnny also live in Tucson with their son Abel. Andrew is an airman in the US Air Force where he acts as a Korean linguist. Dr. Poage's current professional interests include internal medicine and ultrasound.

Debbie Sanders, C.V.T.

Debbie Sanders graduated from Pima Medical Institute as a veterinary assistant in 1995. She has been working full time at Canada del Oro Pet Clinic since, and earned her C.V.T. (Certified Veterinary Technician) degree in August of 1998. She is a also a Veterinary Healthcare Advisor II, and has received certification in Veterinary Dermatology and Behavior Modification. Her professional goals are to continue to work in the field of veterinary medicine and to become a Veterinary Technician Specialist in anesthesiology and dentistry.
Debbie and her husband Troy have been married since July of 1974 and they have three children- Matthew,who's job has now taken him to Africa ; Jeremy,who is married to Babarba. with two children, Haley and Hunter, and Stephanie, who has three children, Kaitlyn ,Nathan and Lilly. All five grandchildren are Grandma & Grandpa pride and joy. Favorite pass time of Debbie is to spend all her free time playing, loving and spoiling grandkids. Grandkids are the greatest!
The Sanders pets include Polly a chihuahua ,Maggie a Jack Russell and two cats Lucky and Max.

TJ Pieh, Veterinary Assistant

TJ Pieh was hired at Canada del Oro Pet Clinic in March of 2007. She and her pets have been coming to Dr. Poage for 12 years. TJ has many years experince in management for the food, retail and service industry. She has always dreamed of working with animals and is very excited to become part of the veterinary healthcare team
profession.

TJ and her husband Andy have been married since August 1985. They do not have any children, but they have always had four legged children. Today they have two dogs-Sally and Rocky, and two cats-Zero and Nina. TJ recently lost her dog Rip, who she says "Was the best dog in the world!". TJ and Andy enjoy camping with their children, motorcycles and classic cars.
